Works but could be better. Here's howI use these flasks for racing mountain bikes and while they adequately store the gel I use, they're hard to open and close when you're breathing heavily and under race stress. In other words, it takes two hands to close the bottle unless I want sticky gel on my gloves. (I don't want that)
If I could make a recommendation, change the way the bottle closes.
Either add an additional groove so I can close it with my teeth or change the top to some sort of flip top I can do with one hand.

Great form factor, Junior-friendlyThis is a great way to carry 5 servings of Gel. You save money (jugs are cheaper than individual packets) and the environment (no trash to drop or dispose of) and no messy empty wrappers in your jersey. As an added benefit, this flask has improved our junior cycling team's nutrition compliance while on long rides. It is much easier to pull the flask out of your jersey and take a swig than trying to open a foil packet with one hand riding down the road.

Awesome after my modifications!I've used these Flasks for 10 years now. They have served me well during Marathons, Centuries, and 70.3 Triathalons. They allow me to thin out the gel in a 1:4 ratio with Electrolite Water for easer consumption at speed. But I recently modified a few of my flasks with a twist lock spout similar to child's glue bottle top. I found the top at a restaurant supply store, but I've seen similar at hardware stores in the past. The top is simple to twist open/closed one handed using two fingers or my teeth in a pinch. The spout is long enough to do this while sucking on the tip so there's never any mess! I also dipped two of my flasks in Rubber Coating used for hand tools like Plier handles. This is found in better hardware stores, and it provides a bit of insulation to keep my gel cool on long days in the Florida heat as well as providing a sure grip with wet hands during afternoon downpours. My motto no mater how good something/someone is improvement is always possible!

Perfect size and shape for hydration and fuel!I actually use these little bottles for both nutrition and hydration. They are the perfect size and shape to rest comfortably in my hand on my long runs and small enough to put in a larger pocket also (no sloshing, belt or hand strap needed... a bonus for me!). They are perfect to get between water stops (refill and keep going) on longer distance races if used for hydration and/or mixing with powdered fuel/electrolytes.

Seal tight and last until you lose themI've been using these for over ten years and have never had one break or leak. Unlike other flasks and water bottles these pop when you press down on the top to seal them. while riding, once I feel the pop I put in back in my jersey pocket without having to worry about leaking. I don't know what happens but over the years they tend to disappear. So I have to reorder once and awhile.

Works great!Always have this while I'm riding for going for a long swim at the pool. Very easy to use and holds a lot. It's so simple to just to reach back, grab it and squeeze the bottom to get the gel out. Much easier than tearing off the top of a gel packet. Fits nicely in the back of all Hammer Cycling and Tri Gear.

Very nice designI've been using this product for 3 years now and I find it very valuable in my training. It's nice to have a resealable container for gels so you can consume them on the go. Only suggestion is that Hammer should consider making a gel/water bottle combination to ensure proper hydration along with the gels.

Don't waste time with other fancy flasks. The Hammer flasks are perfect for trail runs that will require fueling. They are easy to hold in your hand and hold just enough fluid to deliver 5 or 10 (if you are holding two) ounces of your choice of nutrition which should get the "in shape" runner about 2.5 - 3 hours of comfortable running.
