Product Detail & Benefits

Description:

Never before has such a complete and effective endurance drink been available to athletes.

Perpetuem is a result of several years of research and thousands of miles of testing in a variety of endurance disciplines. Since its introduction in 2003, Perpetuem has allowed athletes to conquer the most extreme workouts and races with complete confidence! Perpetuem represents the ultimate, never-before-available link to satisfying the body's fueling requirements no matter how long or difficult your exercise session or race.

  • Carbohydrates - As with all Hammer Nutrition fuels, we never add simple sugars to the carbohydrate profile. Perpetuem contains a specific maltodextrin, which provides nearly 87% of its caloric composition in long chain carbohydrates.
  • Protein - A calcium-enhanced soy protein isolate known as "XT" makes up nearly 10% of the caloric profile of Perpetuem, the same percentage that is cannibalized from muscle tissue during long, slow endurance workouts. This particular soy protein contains a very high amount of intact, cardiovascular-enhancing isoflavones.
  • Fat - A de-oiled "super lecithin" (extracted from the soybean) is ideal for consistently and reliably fueling the body and maximizing energy production from stored fatty acids.
  • Sweetener - Perpetuem contains Energy Smart®, the same healthy sweetener in Hammer Gel.

Benefits:

Perpetuem is available in the following delicious flavors: Caffé Latte, Strawberry-Vanilla, Orange-Vanilla, and Unflavored.

Welcome to the world's finest endurance fuel specifically formulated for multi-hour to multi-day events. No matter how long or extreme your exercise regimen or races may be, Perpetuem is always up to the task. Thoroughly tested and proven in the world's toughest endurance events, Perpetuem's unique formula—complex carbohydrates, GMO-free soy protein, healthy fats, and key auxiliary nutrients such as sodium phosphate—is unsurpassed for maintaining optimal athletic performance for as long as you want. Perpetuem provides consistent, reliable energy, maximizes stored fat utilization, and buffers lactic acid to prevent muscle fatigue. On the road or trail, Perpetuem is the breakfast, lunch, and dinner of champions!

Extra Benefits:
Carnosine, one of the ingredients in Perpetuem (it's also in HEED, Sustained Energy, and Recoverite), is both a performance aid (a superb lactic acid buffer) and a premium general health nutrient (multiple free-radical scavenging and anti-glycation antioxidant).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this product! I started using Perpetuem a few weeks ago for long bike/run training.sessions. I used it and Heed as my sole nutrition for Ironman Calgary 70.3 recently, and was very pleased with how easy it was to use and digest while working hard. I did a three hour bottle for the bike and carried a flask for the run. I just did a Sprint yesterday and used Perpetuem and Heed mixed for breakfast. No stomach problems at all. I love the Orange -Vanilla flavor especially.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hammer products I ran my first ultra a 43 mile trail race that was tough & technical. I used Perpetuem, gel & endurolytes in a paste form and also used the Race Caps Supreme before the race and anti-fatigue caps and endurance aminos during the race. I felt awesome the whole race, no stomach issues and my recovery was remarkable. Hardly any soreness after. I love love love Hammer products. Thanks for making such great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff My biggest hangup with perpetuem has been getting tired of the taste on long and multi-day rides. One of the client advisors suggested I use plain perpetuem and flavor it with hammer gel to get the variety and intensity I wanted. I mix the equivalent of a 2 hour serving in a hammer flask, and alternate between hammer gel and perpetuem for my fueling program. I'm finishing my long training rides much stronger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product paired with extreme endurolites has prevented me from cramping on every ride since I began using this product. I flush lactic acids very poorly and have always had an issue with severe leg cramps, despite how I prepare train and eat in advance of any long ride. This product is my silver bullet to prevent leg cramps and curtail fatigue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perpetuem works it just doesn't taste that great. I use this product on long rides and add via coffee to it to help with the taste. It's better as a paste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra (cramp) fuel Ran the Vermont 50 mile trail race last week in 28c heat with 3000m of elevation and a sinus infection. I only mention the three as severely cramped at mile 24. With a marathon to go, took some Endurolytes, sipped on Perpetuem throughout the remainder of the race and successfully finished. Tremendous endurance product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ironman debut = Success with Perpetuem!! My husband is a member of the TripleThreatTriathlon.com team and encouraged me to switch to Hammer products in ramping up for Ironman Boulder (my first). I had a blast all day and feel that I nailed my nutrition. I had steady energy all day thanks to Perpetuem on the bike and finished with a smile on my face. THANKS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great support while working out I buy the large container because my husband mountain bikes and I run half marathons. He takes while climbing and me on my training runs as well as race days. I like to use it as well when at gym on weight lifting days. It's not caffeine driven, but gives you a good support so you can focus on what you're doing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Choice of calories I've used perpetuem for training runs and ultras for may years. At this years Heartland 100 I switched things up. Utilizing a light weight hydration vest for water enabled me to incorporate a multi hour perpetuem bottle. This mixed with a hammer gel bottle provided 75% of my fueling for the 100 mile run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Single servings make you self-sufficient I used to struggle when I ran out of my bottles and had to drink the event-specific stuff at aid stations. With single serving envelopes of Perpetuem (and HEED!) I can now carry all that I need from start to finish. And when you know your nutrition is dialed, it gives you the confidence to push.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says I've used several different fueling powders on training rides for triathlon. Of them all, this is one that has kept me strong and sustained my energy during my long rides. The flavor is not overpowering either.. Subtle enough that I don't get sick of drinking it during the 5 plus hour rides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectly Fueled Mixed up 2 16 Oz bottles and one 8 Oz bottle to get me to the 50 mile mark of the Tour of the Battenkill as I had no feed zone support. Tossed in 1 Endurolyte tablet in each bottle as well. Neutral water at Feed zone 2 and two more endurolytes got me to the end with no bonk. Worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perpetuem Strawberry Refreshing on the taste buds The Perpetuem strawberry flavor has a great taste. It is light and provides just a hint of flavor without any overpowering sweetness. I enjoy it for the long workouts. It is a staple food source during races and the pancake batter consistency makes it easy to eat and feel the benefits.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me well It gives enough calories for long rides but form it worked as a cramp initiator. I have never had cramps on my multi hours rides, but using Perpetuem discovered what is it to have cramps on steep climbs. As soon as Perpetuem over and I came back to my usual nutrition cramps went off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Single use packages were damaged I received 24 single use perpetuem packages but they were sort of mangled. the shipping box was not crushed but the product I received was mangled. I think it would be good to place the individual servings in a box to protect them and I wonder if these weren't left overs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works for me I have used Perpetuem for several years but the strawberry vanilla is a new flavor to me and I really like it. Like the orange vanilla flavor it leaves no after taste & really makes a difference in the way I feel the day after extreme excercise the day before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was a Sustained Energy guy for endurance rides 100 and 200 mile rides but now that Perpetuem comes in great flavors, I am a convert. I have never bonked using either product but I do like the Perpetuem flavors, esecially Strawberry Vanilla and Cafe Latte.
Date published: 2015-05-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Workout Fuel I started using Perpetuem for long bike rides. Now use half strength for workouts of about 1 hour, as well to provide some slow burning carbs for energy and protein to jump start muscle repair. Tastes OK, easy to digest and quenches thirst.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Great Review it gets..and every penny! This product does everything that it is advertised to do; and it does it in a way that feels natural and healthy. It doesn't make your body perform, it really just supports your body doing what you want it to do; and that feels great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sustainable energy I have GI issues and this product wasn't a problem. I took this with me on my longer runs and I sipped every mile. I was surprised to have more energy at the end then I usually do. Great for 1hr 30min. runs and up. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Distance Hikes Been using Perpetuem for long distance hikes, (15 to 24 miles) works great! I use two Platypus bladders in my pack, one with Perpetuem and one with plain water. For hot days I make two ice trays of Perpetuem to put in the bladder to prevent dilution of the product. Been very happy with this product. Hammer makes a product called Recoverite , which aids in recovery, but to be honest the Perpetuem does a great job at post recovery as well. The next day feels so good I want to do another long distance hike. This is next level stuff, nutrition the smart way, feeds the body what it needs, and the results are awesome, long sustained energy, no sugar crash, and great recovery. Makes my old ways seem primitive! Also I like the taste, I use Vanilla Orange, very mild taste, not sugary at all. Can actually quench your thirst instead of making you more thirsty. I also use a bladder with plain water, because when it is hot out you need plain water to quench your thirst. Sort of like having milk with chocolate chip cookies, nothing else seems to taste as good as milk with cookies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perpetuem is great for endurance events I love my Perpetuem! I have used Hammer Nutrition for years. I have at times drifted away to try something "new and improved" that comes on the market, but I always return to what really works..... HAMMER NUTRITION!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great endurance fuel ! I love this stuff ! I made a change this year to Hammer products and I'll never look back . A noticeable difference in my performance. I know this because others that I compete with have also noticed ! Thanks Hammer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product! I cannot imagine doing a long road race without Perpetuem; 70 hard miles in the saddle requires a complete, balanced, tasty fuel, and Perpetuem is all of those things. Thank you for such an incredible product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caffe perpetuem and peanut butter gel Bought both and mix them together. Kind of a texture and don't like gels. Taste ok and no stomach distress. Great in heat of Hawaii and rain in Washington state. Use it to ride my bike 50 - 100 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me! I make two large bottles of Perpetuem and it lasts me 50 miles in warm weather or about 70 miles on a cool day. I generally don't need to eat anything until I run out. The Caffe latte tastes great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product! I've been using this product for several years. It's a great source of fuel for multi hour events like a century ride or a marathon. It's very easy to use. just follow the directions on the label.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me going on the long runs I have been looking for a product that was formulated for longer distances and had more than just sugar. I love that it is healthy and keeps me fuels for the entire time I'm out there running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Stuff Absolutely, hands down the best drink mix on the planet. Easy to digest, and fuels the machine!!! Notice significant improvement on my bodies ability to last while sipping on Perpetuem.
