Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Dishwasher Safe I just got these bottles. Buyers should know that unlike the Polar insulated bottles, the Purist insulated bottles are NOT dishwasher safe according to the attached label.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not dishwasher safe There is no plastic taste, just as advertised. No leaking, which is nice. My concern is ruining it accidentally by putting it in the dishwasher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bottle! I recently purchased this bottle from the Hammer store and am very happy with it. The top works great and keeps you from having to work it over with your teeth while riding. It also keeps things cooler probably 2-3 times longer than a typical bottle. Very impressed with the bottle and even more impressed with Hammer! My first order from them was awesome and I am looking forward to more to come. Great company, great people, great products!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purist Insulated water bottle. I live in the desert and rides longer than 2 hours would always leave me with warm water or Heed! Not any more. I freeze 1/2 the bottle with Heed and when I start off I put ice in the other half and more Heed and have cold drinks for 3-4 hors, Stop after 2 hours and bottle is still half frozen, Ice up, more water and go! Only need one water bottle!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Insulated Bottle! This bottle is everything as advertised. As with other Purist bottles, the liquid flow from this spout is excellent. Takes a little more hand muscle to squeeze than Purist non-insulted bottles but that is the trade off for insulation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality water bottle This is a high quality water bottle at an affordable price. I love the clean simple logos, and the mouth valve will make you want to throw away all your old cheap water bottles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Handling and Taste, Minor Setbacks After a couple of my cheap plastic water bottles finally broke, I figured I may as well get a pair of halfway-decent replacements. I had heard great things about the Specialized Purist bottles (like the thin layer of glass coating the inside of the BPA-free plastic), but I wanted something insulated, so I was pleased to discover they had recently released an insulated version, and further pleased Hammer actually had them and didn't require a bulk order. They certainly handle well — they are flexible, good valve design (you can even leave it open while riding without spilling a drop) — and water left in for more than a day or so tastes fine, however I was expecting a little more from the insulation; even filling the bottle with ice before adding water doesn't seem to be enough to stop it from getting a little warmer than any reasonable person would care for in less than in hour in 75-85 degree (Fahrenheit) weather with moderate humidity. Of course it is still much better than no insulation, and perhaps the insulation does indeed do its job better than other bottles, but I was looking forward to having my water stay cold on hikes and especially long rides where they are exposed and not in the shade and further insulation of my backpack. The caps seem to cross-thread easily and it isn't very obvious to me when they do, which can lead to obvious frustration when the bottle is squeezed and more water spills on to you through the opening than comes thru the valve, and so far the only remedy I can tell of is to just turn the bottle upside down and squeeze after filling and before heading out to make certain it is not cross-threaded, and remember to do this before adding electrolytes so you don't waste them if it spills! It is frustrating that at this point in the evolution of the water bottle caps can still cross-thread this easily. But, who knows, maybe I'm just bad at screwing.
