HEED is a definite "step up" and welcome departure from the seemingly endless number of powdered sports drinks available to endurance athletes. One of the primary flaws inherent with most sports drinks is their reliance on simple sugars as the carbohydrate source. The use of simple sugars such as glucose, sucrose, and fructose not only severely limits the amount of calories that can be efficiently digested and utilized for energy, but also may cause wild fluctuations in energy levels. I sweat a lot, and I am confident Heed helps to replace the electrolytes I lose. It isn't exactly "unflavored," however. I'd prefer if it were.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product with REAL results! Prior to using Heed I used different sports drinks like gatoraid and cytomax and neither one really dude much for me. I started using Heed a few months ago and noticed I had a ton more energy while riding and didn't bonk nearly as hard. I switched back to straight water to really see if there was a difference and there definitely was! I went through 2.5 bottles instead of just 1, didn't have as much energy and when I would hit the wall it was much harder to get over it. Once switching back to Heed I am down to 1 bottle now in the summer heat and have yet to bonk or hit a wall during my rides! Awesome product! The strawberry is awesome too.

Living in Arizona where it tends to go from cool to hot during a typical activity, it's important to have a drink that tastes good when cold, warm and even sometimes hot. Heed does this. It also provides a very reliable and consistent energy source and the various flavors provide an opportunity to change things up a bit.

At a race early in the season, our team had some trial packs of HEED on a very hot day. I raced a crit and then needed to head home in the saddle. I picked up a pack of HEED, and fell in love. It was perfect for a hot, fast day in the saddle. Kept me hydrated with carbs on board. I appreciate that it is organic and not full of poor quality sugars. I now don't ride without a bottle of HEED on the bike. It is a mainstay. Good compliment for a bottle of Perpetuem in the other cage on a longer day, too.

Heed is just about the first on-bike product I've ever used that completely agrees with my system, tastes great cold and doesn't get disgusting when it gets warmer. It's super fine texture means it blends very well too. Nice mild flavor.

My only complaint would be that when the drink is shaken it tends to foam, and while running I don't like drinking that much air with my fluid. I'm hoping I can find a baffled water bottle that might reduce the foaming.

What I like now, after having tried it several times, is that it provides you some solid energy during your ride and afterwards. The only downside (a slight) is that it does get chunky. It is now a must-have on a ride I take!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A friend of mine who uses a variety of hammers products recommended the heed powder, electrolytes, & fizz tablets to combat constant cramping after being out in the heat all day umpiring games. no matter what i tried worked, salt tablets, gatorade, water etc, but once i got a steady dose of electrolytes in my system i am so glad to say - the cramps are a thing of the past. so thanks to my friend & coach of the west valley slammers for taking the time to help a man in blue for a change instead of the constant badgering we are usually use to getting from the coaches lol
