Electrolyte replacement during exercise can vary as much as tenfold between two athletes. No other area of endurance nutrition or supplementation calls for such individualized dosing, and perhaps no other area of fueling can drop you out of the competition as quickly as electrolyte depletion or overdose. I like the sample packets of four caps and will consume one packet per hour on a hot day (I am 190lbs). The advantage of the packets vrs the loose caps is that they will stay dry no matter how much I sweat or how hard it rains.
