Abdominal ma settings?

Abdominal ma settings?

Postby joeackerman » Wed Dec 05, 2012 8:50 am

I have a globus unit and have started to use on my abdominals, but wondering what ma settings I should be aiming for? Any feedback appreciated.

Hi Joe,

The milliamps should always be turned up to your tolerance level when running a strength enhancing program. If you're running Active Recovery you don't need to exceed 30-40 mA and exceeding this intensity could actually cause unnecessary muscle fatigue. Whenever you're running a strength enhancing program however, you should always push the intensity as high as your tolerance will allow in order to benefit from improved muscle fitness that you achieve by reaching more muscle fibers the more you increase intensity.

Abdominal muscles are primarily slow twitch fibers so the Endurance program would be most effective.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns.

Regards,
Levi
