Endurance with Strength and Resistance Programs
Hi, I am running a strenght program followed by an endurance program twice a week. After 5 weeks I switch to resistance followed by endurance twice a week for 5 weeks. Then endurance only for 10 weeks. Can anyone tell me if running the two programs one after the other is productive or counterproductive? I don't want to be over doing it.
Thanks,
TerryS

Re: Endurance with Strength and Resistance Programs
Hello Terry -
I consulted with our NEMS expert, Jim Bruskewitz, and here's what he wrote to me: "I don't see how running an Endurance program after Strength program or resistance program is counterproductive. Each of the programs stimulates a different muscle fiber type. You are adding to the overall training load by running programs for the extended period of time, but you can control the load by adjusting the level of stimulation. I think you will see significant gains with this approach."
I hope this helps answer your question.
Sincerely -
Steve

Thanks Steve.
EMS is great, especially when I can't get a regular workout.
