Hammer Nutrition Forums - Terms of use

By accessing “Hammer Nutrition Forums”, you agree to be legally bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms then please do not access and/or use “Hammer Nutrition Forums”. We may change these at any time and we’ll do our utmost in informing you, though it would be prudent to review this regularly yourself as your continued usage of “Hammer Nutrition Forums” after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/or amended.

Responsibilities and Rights
A. Please bear in mind that what you read in our forums are other users opinions and experiences. We trust you will find much that is helpful and informative.
B. You agree that the forum’s owner or moderator has the right to delete any post and terminate any account (ban a user) with or without notice, at any time, and for any reason, without limitation, if we feel you’ve violated the Hammer Forum Guidelines. You also acknowledge that we have no obligation to delete content that you find personally objectionable or offensive.
C. You are responsible for keeping your login information, including your password, private. Sharing of memberships or usernames is not allowed and may result in the membership being banned.
D. By using the forums, you agree to abide by our guidelines and to submit to their interpretation and enforcement by our staff.

Privacy
Never provide your password, telephone numbers, or home address to anyone online. Give out your email address only if you want to receive email.

Never divulge private information about another person online. That includes the persons real name, email address, and any other personal information that the person has not made public. Do not forward or post private messages that someone has sent you unless you have his or her permission. Please do not solicit other peoples personal information.

Copyrights
Please do not post anything you do not have the right to publish or violate any copyright or other proprietary rights in your posts. That includes excerpting published articles without the authors permission. We will delete posts that contain any such violations.

Usernames
Choose a username that is in good taste. If you select a username that we deem vulgar or obscene or that misrepresents you to other users, we will reject your choice.

Signing Posts
We ask that you sign all posts submitted to the forums with at least your first name. It is important for forum members to know who is speaking and who to address in reply. Anonymous posts are frowned upon.

Basic Etiquette
Please do not use all capital letters in your postings. It is considered "shouting" online, makes other members uncomfortable, and is difficult to read.

Posts off topic are allowed, but should be limited. The general tones of our forums are typically very congenial. Occasionally, there will be differences of opinion, and we should expect this. However, there is no place on our forums for personal attacks, name-calling, or labeling. Facts, figures, theories and opinions can and should be questioned, even challenged when appropriate, but it is incumbent upon the dissenter to provide educated, factual substantiation for their contrary position.

Unacceptable Language
Please do not post anything obscene, vulgar, illegal (including viruses), harmful, insulting, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, untrue, or invasive of someone elses privacy. The IP address of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.

Flames/Personal Attacks
Do not flame or attack other members of the forums, regardless of how strongly you disagree with their position. A personal attack might include name-calling, mocking another member or a members name or family members, using threatening or insulting language, or violating another members privacy. Exercise some common sense here. If you would not have the nerve to say it in person, do not post it. If you cannot draw the line, we will draw it for you, but we would rather not have to.

Debates
Please debate issues and viewpoints, not the personal attributes of other people on the forums.

Advertising and Solicitations
Do not use the forums to buy or solicit for goods, services, or money, or to advertise or sell products or services to others. Hammer Nutrition reserves the right to occasionally inform forum members about new products, special offers, and other information that might be of benefit to them.

Mentioning Other Websites
It is perfectly okay to mention, link to, or discuss other websites that are of interest to our users, as long as they do not violate our other guidelines. But please do not use our forums to generate traffic for a competitor website, forum, or online "group". This goes against basic "netiquette." We will delete posts that, in our judgment, mention or link to other websites for the sole purpose of encouraging our members to participate elsewhere.

Banning
Banning is done at the staffs discretion and follows forum violations of our guidelines. If you try to get around a ban, we may take further action including banning any past or new usernames. If you post on behalf of a banned member, you may also be banned without notice or warning. Because of our privacy policy, we do not announce or discuss bannings, and we ask that our members also respect this policy.

Mentioning Other Products or Companies by Name
Our policy at Hammer Nutrition is to not discuss other products by name on our forums or anywhere else in our materials. We do this to prevent frivolous litigation from the companies whose products do not stand up to honest scrutiny. We truly wish we could give you our candid and honest opinions regarding other products in the marketplace, but it cannot be done in this day and age.

We also ask that you refrain from mentioning competing products or companies by their true brand name or corporate name, especially in the context of "what is your opinion of x, y, or z product". Again, litigation can result or at least cause us to be accused of "bashing" the competition.

It is perfectly logical for these questions to be posed; there is a huge wealth of knowledge on our forums, not just from Hammer staff, but also from so many other active forum members. Unfortunately, logic and truth are trumped by threats of litigation and the cost, both in time and money, of defending oneself. We would prefer that this not be the case, but the "legal" realities we live in have forced us to adopt this policy. We would love to be able to warn you all about the products in the marketplace that over promise and under deliver, but it is a lose/lose proposition for us. You may feel that these parameters are too restrictive or don not give you the "freedom" to discuss whatever you want, and we apologize in advance if you see it like this. There are hundreds of open discussion forums out there where you can ask about any product under the sun, where no financial interests could be construed as "tainting" the opinions given. Likewise, if you are purchasing and using a competing product from another company, you should look to them for a resource like this that allows access to their company owner, product developers, testers, staff members, and clients. Or, at the very least, an avenue for asking them questions about usage and other issues related to the product in question.

By registering for the Hammer Forums you gain access to both the Electrostimulation and Endurance message boards. Your single user account gains you access to all forums (aside from private sections) active within the Hammer Forum.
